The 23rd World Congress of Soil Science, a six-day event, came to a successful close at the Nanjing International Expo Center on June 12, 2026. Known as the "Olympics" of soil science, this grand event was held in China for the first time since its inception in 1927, bringing together nearly 3,000 experts and scholars from more than 100 countries around the world.

As the exclusive distributor of Finland-based Gasmet in China, Beijing Eco-mind Technology Co., Ltd. participated in the congress with the GT5000 Portable Soil Respiration Measurement System throughout the event, setting up a booth in Hall 4 and engaging in in-depth exchanges with numerous new and old friends.

Based on Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) technology, the GT5000 Portable Soil Respiration Measurement System can be connected to a chamber to simultaneously measure the concentrations of six gases — N₂O, CH₄, CO₂, H₂O, CO, and NH₃ — with ppb-level detection precision. The unit weighs 9.4 kg, features a built-in battery, and is suitable for in-situ field monitoring.

Technical engineers demonstrated on site the connection of the GT5000 analyzer to the chamber and real-time data reading functions, and exchanged views with multiple scholars on the technical details and application fields of the instrument.
