From October 16 to 19, 2026, the 7th International Symposium on Global Change and Biological Invasions was held at Shaoxing University. The symposium was hosted by the Biological Invasion Ecology Professional Committee of the Ecological Society of China, the Botanical Society of Zhejiang Province, and the Ecological Society of Zhejiang Province; organized by Shaoxing University and Southwest Forestry University; and co-organized by Chinese Journal of Plant Ecology, Journal of Plant Ecology, and Current Biodiversity. With the theme of "Biological Invasion Mechanisms, Ecological Effects, and Prevention and Control Strategies under Global Change," the symposium facilitated academic exchanges through plenary lectures, parallel sessions, graduate student forums, and poster presentations.
As a participating institution, Beijing Eco-mind Technology Co., Ltd. showcased two physical instruments during the conference: the LK-1580 MultiRhizo Minirhizotron In-situ Root Monitoring System and the GT5000 Portable Multi-parameter Soil Respiration Measurement System, covering the two directions of root and rhizosphere process observation, and soil greenhouse gas flux monitoring, respectively.
During the conference, Eco-mind's booth engaged in exchanges with attending experts and scholars on topics such as minirhizotron installation schemes, gas flux observation methods, and long-term fixed-point monitoring design. Some experts and scholars inquired about the specific details of minirhizotron deployment in research on root-microbe interactions of invasive plants, as well as the chamber configuration and calibration procedures of the GT5000 for measuring soil respiration and N₂O fluxes in invaded plots.
Eco-mind has long focused on solutions for agricultural, forestry, and ecological research instruments, with business covering root and rhizosphere observation, soil greenhouse gas flux monitoring, and long-term multi-channel automated monitoring. Its products have served numerous universities and research institutions both at home and abroad.
