Recently, our company's technical engineers traveled to the Zhejiang Academy of Forestry and successfully completed the on-site installation and technical training of the LK-1400 SpecRoot Multi-spectral In-situ Plant Root Analyzer. The customer will use the LK-1400 SpecRoot to conduct long-term, in-situ, multi-spectral monitoring of the growth dynamics of bamboo rhizomes (underground stems), acquiring high spatiotemporal resolution root phenotypic and health status data, thereby providing key technical support for bamboo forest cultivation and ecological research.
LK-1400 SpecRoot Multi-spectral In-situ Plant Root Analyzer
The LK-1400 SpecRoot Multi-spectral In-situ Plant Root Analyzer is mainly based on minirhizotron technology and multi-spectral imaging technology. By installing transparent minirhizotron tubes in the soil and using a high-definition imaging system to photograph and analyze the roots inside the tubes, it enables fixed-point, in-situ observation and study of the growth, death, and distribution (root architecture) patterns of roots and even root nodules. Through the combination of these multi-spectral bands, the system can effectively distinguish live roots from dead roots, achieving precise identification of different root states to meet various research needs. The system's greatest advantage is that, without disturbing the root growth process, it can continuously monitor the changes of individual fine roots from birth to death. Combined with professional root analysis software, it can quantify root-related indicators.
