From July 27 to 30, 2026, the First Frontier Young Scholars Symposium on Ecological Agriculture was held in Qinhuangdao, Hebei Province. The symposium was hosted by the Center for Agricultural Resources Research, Institute of Genetics and Developmental Biology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and organized by the Editorial Office of Chinese Journal of Eco-Agriculture (Chinese and English), Hebei Normal University of Science and Technology, Hebei Agricultural Systems Engineering Society, and the Agroecology Professional Committee of the Ecological Society of China. Beijing Eco-mind Technology Co., Ltd. supported the event as a sponsor throughout.
The symposium featured an opening ceremony and plenary keynote reports, along with multiple thematic sessions covering smart agriculture, low-carbon agricultural development, agricultural hydrological processes and non-point source pollution, integrated crop-livestock systems, farmland ecosystem regulation, soil health, ecological agriculture model innovation, agroecological security, and water and land resource utilization in saline-alkali areas. During the symposium, the 2026 Annual Meeting of the Hebei Agricultural Systems Engineering Society, the meeting of the Agroecology Professional Committee of the Ecological Society of China, and the first meeting of the Young Editorial Board were also convened.
