The LK-1200 RootScan Benchtop Root System Analyzer is specifically designed for rotary imaging of washed root samples, enabling continuous high-throughput 2D imaging and analysis of plant root systems. Capable of measuring hundreds of plant samples daily, the system performs continuous multi-angle rotational imaging of roots as needed. Integrated with professional control and image analysis software, it measures parameters such as total root length, diameter, surface area, biomass, and root topological architecture. Additionally, the instrument is equipped with a barcode scanner for automatic image naming, significantly reducing measurement time. Suitable for a wide range of applications, it is widely used in research and teaching in agronomy, biology, ecology, crop science, horticulture, and related fields.
The imaging system of the LK-1200 RootScan is a fixed high-definition setup. As shown in the diagram, parameters such as resolution, imaging area, and working distance can be optimized according to user requirements. Users can place washed root samples directly onto the automatic rotating stage, where the integrated barcode scanner automatically identifies and records sample names and IDs. Professional root analysis software is then used to process and evaluate the root images.
